A bad day

Yesterday was a bad day. And if you want to know what a "bad day" is, here is a complete definition:

Yesterday, 8:15 AM. I place mobile phone on bedside table. I think, "This is going to be a bad day". I have no idea how true this really is. I go to toilet, planning to then put mobile in bag.

8:30 AM. Get in car. I think mobile is in bag, when I really left it on bedside table. Have no idea of the bad things to come.

9:00 AM. In corridor in church. (School uses church as spare classrooms) Place my bag in corner, along with coat and hat. Friend places bag next to mine, along with very expensive laptop.

9:30 AM. You have no idea how boring this English lesson is. In turn, I have no idea how bad this day is.

10:30 AM. Finally out of English. Take mandarin orange, and will now go outside for recess. Take coat, only to notice that bag is gone.

10:32 AM. Frantically searching for bag. Teacher tells me to go outside.

10:46 AM. Back from recess. I quickly search everywhere, including girls' toilet and under bench. See pink laptop bag, amongst other things.

11:15 AM. Teacher tells us to bring all our stuff to art room. I say I don't have any stuff. Teacher says, "What do you mean?" I show her place where bag was. Whole class searches. Laptop is now also gone. Teacher tells us to check if we have lost any more stuff. The laptop owner's iPod and mobile phone is also gone, along with other girl's purse full of a few month's savings for buying new shoes. Boys check in boys' toilet. Boy comes out, holding a soft toy dog, the one that was hanging on my bag. Class nerd says, "I think someone is playing a practical joke on us". Nobody else agrees, everyone takes this seriously. In boys' toilet, another soft toy animal and a folder of school books, a drinks bottle and an umbrella is also found, all from my bag. Rest of class is very scared.

11:17 AM. People who have not been robbed stay in art room to work, us 3 girls go upstairs to office to report it, and tell what was stolen.

11:50 AM. I am worried, as I think mobile phone is in bag.

12:05 PM. I get friend's school lunch, as friend is sick.

12:30 PM. I go back to office to phone home. Lady in office is now talking to police.

12:50 PM. Bestie in student council tells me to join meeting and tell what was stolen.

1:00 PM. Class is scared, bring bags into art room, something that they normally do not do.

3:00 PM. Get into car. Discuss the happenings of today.

3:30 PM. Start English homework.

3:35 PM. Get phone call from bestie telling that girl who lost purse called to tell that a lady called saying that she found my bag a mile away from school.

3:40 PM. Chat a bit on MSN, then shut down my computer.

4:10 PM. Call girl who lost her purse, ask questions about bag.

Today, 11:00 AM. Call girl who lost her purse. Bag is now at her house. Most of my stuff is still in bag, except for memory stick.

Now that's what I call a bad day!

Back to school

What's the point of going back to school? What's the point of going back to school at all? The teachers are on strike anyway. They've put up a really big banner saying "teachers on strike" in huge letters. It looks weird. Now the teachers have a private table with coffee. It doesn't look like they are on strike, it just looks like they are standing around outside with weird coats, and talking and going to the shop to fill up their coffee supply. And they stand on chunks of white Styrofoam, as if not to wear down the ground. That is so weird. Then I chatted with my friends on MSN. I got i'm now. I'm contributing to the Humane Society. My friend wants to become a member so he can contribute to the red cross. His sister works for the red cross, so I will help him get the code for it.

Happy New Year!

Hi! As you might have noticed, it's 2008, so I have spent this morning writing my New Year's resolutions. I'm not going to write them all here, I'm just going to say that one of them is to spend time blogging. Yes, blogging, right here in my blog, almost every day. I will also be online on Messenger quite a lot (New Year's resolution no. 14).

It feels like a new start, but I have to constantly remind myself that this is 2008, not a parallel universe. I'm still a 7th grade girl, I still have the same friends etc. etc. etc.

But some is still different. Some tiny differences and some big differences that come with the new year...
